What Kansas requires on your label

The label maker below handles all of this for you. Here is the checklist it follows, straight from Kansas's rules.

    Common name of the product
    e.g. "Zucchini Bread".

    Name and physical address of the maker or seller
    Your legal or business name and physical address.
  3. 3
    Ingredients in descending order by weight
    Include sub-ingredients of compound ingredients.

    Allergens named in plain language
    All nine major allergens including sesame, named plainly within the ingredient list.
  5. 5
    Net quantity
    As weight, volume, or count depending on the product.
  • Kansas requires NO homemade or not-inspected statement; adding one is voluntary (KDA/K-State guide MF3138, revised January 2026).
  • The January 2026 revision clarified that all nine major allergens, including sesame, must be named in plain language.
