Cakery gives bakers one place to run their bakery and their online presence. It all started when one baker, who was also an engineer, decided to build the tool she wished she had.
The founder
Meet Mackenzie
Mackenzie Ford started baking as a hobby in 2020. Like a lot of home bakers, what began as cakes for friends and family quickly turned into orders, quotes, and a growing list of customers to keep track of.
She was also a computer engineer. The more she baked, the more she noticed how much of a baker’s week disappears into busywork: answering the same questions, juggling messages across apps, chasing deposits, and trying to get found online. So she decided to combine her two passions, technology and baking, and build the tool she wished she had.
She formed Cakery in March 2025. Since then, Cakery has helped bakers in 42 US states and 5 countries follow their dreams too.
